Dr. Nirenberg has been involved with the community for years. His most recent involvement includes his participation in the Cycle for Sight fundraising event as well as skiing for vision impairment awareness and research. Here are some photos from his fundraising and volunteer work.
Cycle for Sight fundraiser
Dr. Nirenberg has participated in the cycling event Cycle for Sight in 2017 to fundraise for vision loss research. Here he is cooling off with friends, crossing the finish line and posing with his bicycle.
